I constantly get requests for “something different”. Well, here you are and it’s fun, beautiful and inexpensive. The 15th annual Ice Magic International Ice Sculpture Competition is held Jan 23.-25, and we’ve secured (very hard to get) space at the famous FAIRMOUNT CHATEAU LAKE LOUISE. Ten professional ice carving teams of 3 carvers each are given 15 blocks of ice, weighing 300 lbs each, which they must transform into seven-foot tall world-class ice sculptures in 3 days. You are encouraged to see the finished sculptures on Sunday and cast your vote in the People’s Choice Award competition. All those who cast a ballot are entered into a drawing to win valuable prizes by event sponsors. The sculptures are unbelievable works of art and will be the highlight of your trip. We’ve arranged this trip so you have 2 nights in Banff to enjoy the city, then 2 nights at the Chateau Lake Louse to experience the Ice Sculpture Competition. There are so many wonderful winter activities to enjoy; skiing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, ice skating, snowshoeing, nature walks and tobbaganing. There’s even dog sledding. Banff has great restaurants and shops so there is something for everyone. Come and go with us. It will be a great getaway.

Day 1
DFW to CALGARY
Depart from DFW for our flight to Calgary and transfer to Banff. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Banff.

Day 2
Banff
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a morning tour of Banff and the rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight in Banff.

Day 3
Banff-Lake Louise
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Chateau Lake Louise Hotel where the Ice Carving Competition will be in full swing. Overnight in Lake Louise

Day 4
Lake Louise
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a one hour horse drawn sleigh ride along the trails. The rest of the day will be at leisure to enjoy many of the incredible winter activities. Farewell dinner at the hotel this evening. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Day 5
CALGARY to DFW
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Calgary Airport for our return flight to DFW.
