ITINERARY
Day 1 Thu – Mar 10:
Dallas / Delhi
Depart from Dallas today on board American Airlines for Delhi, the Capitol of India. Relax and enjoy your flight as you wing your way towards this ancient land.
Day 2 Fri – Mar 11:
Delhi Sightseeing
Arrive in Delhi this evening. You are greeted upon arrival with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to your hotel. TAJ PALACE HOTEL (Superior Room).
Day 3 Sat – Mar 12:
Great Barrier Reef
Embark on your tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Old Delhi covering the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. In the afternoon tour New Delhi as you drive along Rajpath to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. (BLD)
Day 4 Sun - Mar 13:
Delhi / Varanasi-Sarnath
Today fly to Varanasi (India’s holiest city), located on the sacred Ganges River. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon visit the stupas, ruins and museum at Sarnath, scene of Buddha’s first sermon. THE GATEWAY HOTEL (Standard Room). (BLD)
Day 5 - Mon - Mar 14:
Varanasi / Khajuraho
In the early morning enjoy, the sunrise on the Ganges River with a boat ride followed by a walking tour of the old city. Later fly to Khajuraho, upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Visit the Western group of temples containing the largest and loveliest temples. TAJ CHANDELA HOTEL(Superior Room). Day 6 - Tue - Mar 15:
Khajuraho / Agra
This morning visit the principal Eastern group of temples. Later, drive to Jhansi to board the train to Agra, en route visiting Orchha, a medieval city. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. THE GATEWAY HOTEL (Superior Taj Facing Room). (BLD)
Day 7 - Wed - Mar 16:
Agra & Fatehpur Sikri
Early this morning visit the magnificent Taj Mahal as it emerges from darkness to be bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun. This sparkling monument bears mute testimony to the Emperors love for his queen. Following breakfast enjoy an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri. The perfectly preserved monuments in this abandoned city bear mute testimony the the grandeur of the Moghul empire. This afternoon visit the Agra Fort. Later this evening enjoy a dinner and dance show.(BLD)
Day 8 Thu – Mar 17:
Agra /Ranthambhore
Depart this morning to Ranthambhore National Park. This afternoon enjoy your first game drive. Ranthambhore is one of the few preserves where the nocturnal camera-shy tigers may be seen in daylight. Almost hunted to extinction by the Indian Royalty and their Brithis overlords, the population of the Bengal tiger is slowly increasing, thanks to the efforts of “Project Tiger” and the World Wildlfe Fund. Day 9 Fri – Mar 18:
Ranthambhore / Jaipur
Enjoy another thrilling game drive in the morning to scour the jungle for wildlife. Later this afternoon depart for Jaipur, the ‘Pink City’, where the old city is surrounded by a massive wall pierced by magnificent gateways. Check in upon arrival at the JAIMAHAL PALACE HOTEL (Luxury Room). (BLD)
Day 10 Sat – Mar 19:
Jaipur
Today you are transported back in time, riding royally atop elegantly draped and painted elephants up to the mountain fortress of Amber. Enjoy a superb example of Rajput architecture, with the fortress’ complex of palaces, temples and ornate apartments. Your tour of Jaipur takes you to Hawa Mahal or “Palace of Winds,” continues to City Palace with its latticed balconies, tiny windows, cupolas, courtyards and arched entrances, and concludes with a visit to the ancient observatory. This evening enjoy a dinner accompanied by the strains of Rajasthani folk music.(BLD)
Day 11 Sun – Mar 20:
Jaipur / Delhi
After a leisurely morning and an early lunch we drive to Delhi, where we check in at the TAJ PALACE HOTEL (Superior Room). Rest of the day is at leisure. (BLD)
Day 12 Mon – Mar 21:
Delhi / Chicago
The day is at leisure to pursue independent activities. Later this evening depart for Dallas via Chicago on board American Airlines.
Day 13 Tue – Mar 22:
Chicago / Dallas
Arrive in Chicago this morning and connect with your onward flight to Dallas. Arrive home with fond memories of your sojourn through Incredible India.

Your tour of Kathmandu includes exploration of Durbar Square with its abundance of lovely pagoda shaped temples, many bazaars and the Royal Palace. Enjoy a magnificent view of Kathmandu from Swayambunath, also known as the monkey temple. Continue to Bodhnath to see the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. At Pashupatinath, view
the most sacred of Nepal’s Shiva shrines, located near the holy river Bagmati. (B)
Day 15 Thurs – Mar 24: Patan / Bhadgaon Excursion
Visit Patan, an even older city than Kathmandu, featuring hundreds of temples and palaces. You’ll get a rare chance to observe skilled artisans creating ancient handicrafts. Later, enjoy a drive through the beautiful countryside to Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur with its many interesting temples and palaces. This evening you are treated to a lively Nepalese dance & music presentation followed by dinner. (BD)
Day 16 Fri – Mar 25: Kathmandu / Delhi / Chicago
In the morning transfer by private car to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Later this evening depart for Dallas via Chicago on board American Airlines. (B)
