Day 1: September 25 – Vancouver

Motorocoach Transfer: Vancouver Airport to Pan Pacfic Hotel or Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Day 2: September 26, 2024 – Vancouver

Your tour today includes a Bell Tours Step-on-Guide. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver and the spectacular North Shore with breath taking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains. Highlights include Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island. the 137 metre (450 feet) Capilano Suspension Bridge and the
Grouse Mountain Skyride.

Day 3: September 27, 2024 – Vancouver to Kamloops

Early this morning you will be transferred by motorcoach to the station from your hotel to board the Rocky Mountaineer.

Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Breakfast & lunch are included
onboard. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Your expected arrival time in Kamloops will be between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Please be aware that rail travel can be subject to unforeseen delays.

Upon check-in for your train departure, you will receive a boarding pass which will indicate your accommodation in Kamloops or the surrounding area, including Sun Peaks Resort. You will stay in moderate two- or three-star accommodation with essential amenities and great service. While these accommodations are clean and comfortable, they may not be as luxurious as those in other destinations on your journey.

Day 4: September 28, 2024 – Kamloops to Banff

Early this morning, you will be transferred by motorcoach to the train from your hotel. Your pick-up times will be provided with your final travel documents.

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station to continue your journey east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Breakfast and lunch are included onboard. Your expected arrival into Lake Louise is
between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

Continue on to your final destination in Banff. Please note you will not disembark the train at Lake Louise. Your expected arrival time in Banff is between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

Day 5: September 29, 2023 – Banff

Your admission to Canadian national parks is included in your package. Your pass is only valid for the number of days that you have booked accommodation in a National Park through Rocky Mountaineer.

Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour and learn about the natural forces that have shaped the appearance of the lakes and streams found in this area of the Rocky Mountains. Highlights include Lake Louise, Yoho National Park, the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge and Takakkaw Falls. Lunch at the Emerald Lake Lodge is included. Note: Due to inclement weather and heavy snow fall, the road to Takakkaw Falls is periodically closed throughout the spring and fall season. Additional time will be spent at the Emerald Lake Lodge should this road be closed.

Day 6: September 30, 2024 – Banff

Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book activities at your leisure. Banff has activities for all, from taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, relaxing in the Banff hot springs, exploring the bustling town, to outdoor wildlife adventures.  We recommend booking activities well in advance to ensure you get your preferred time.

Day 7: October 1, 2023 – Headed home

Board your private motorcoach and transfer to the Calgary International Airport (two hour transfer).

A deposit of $1000 per person, is due at time of reservation and the balance is due on June 1st, 2024.  The advertised price represents a 5% discount for payments made by cash or check.  The price is 5% higher for a credit card payment and requires an authorized signature.  We accept MC, VISA, and AX.  This trip is non refundable and travel insurance is highly recommended.

Cancellation: If canceled before June 1st, 2024, a penalty of $800 per person is assessed.  After June 1st the trip is totally non-refundable.  Travel insurance is highly reccomended.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Please note that travel insurers are not offering Coronavirus/COVID-19 protection against destination closure.  However, covid illness is covered and Cancellation Insurance is highly recommended and must be booked within 15 days of your initial deposit in order for pre-existing conditions to be covered.  “Cancel at Any Time” insurance is available but must be booked at the same time as deposit (same day) and typically only covers 80%.  In the unlikely event that Canada closes due to covid, you will receive a full future travel credit from Rocky Mountaineer.

Please note that Canada requires proof of full vaccination for entry.
