Lazy Bear Lodge

At Lazy Bear Lodge, the thrill of the arctic doesn’t end when you return to the Lodge. That’s because the Lodge itself is an authentic northern wonder!

This is no regular log cabin. The timber was reclaimed from a fire in the boreal forest. Using hand tools, the logs fit together so well as to appear as if they were melted into each other. The windows were recycled from an 1800’s Hudson Bay Trading Post, and if you look closely, you’ll see the characteristic wave of the old glass.

Come inside and feel the warmth of the massive stone fireplace, crafted from a 20,000 pound block of stone and mortar. Even the floor came from recycled Douglas Fir from the Canadian National Railway warehouse built in the early 1920’s.

The stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge is as unique an adventure as the expeditions you choose.

A deposit of $2300 per person, is due at time of reservation.  A 2nd deposit of $2000 per person is due on March 1, 2024. The balance is due on July 1, 2024.  The advertised price represents a 5% discount for payments made by cash or check.  The price is 5% higher for a credit card payment and requires an authorized signature.  We accept MC, VISA, and AX.  This trip is non refundable and travel insurance is highly recommended.

Cancellation: All payments are non-refundable

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Please note that travel insurers are not offering Coronavirus/COVID-19 protection against destination closure.  However, covid illness is covered and Cancellation Insurance is highly recommended and must be booked within 15 days of your initial deposit in order for pre-existing conditions to be covered.  “Cancel at Any Time” insurance is available but must be booked at the same time as deposit (same day) and typically only covers 80%.  

RESPONSIBILITY: SHARON CARR TRAVEL is not the source or supplier of the travel services included in this package and they act solely as an agent for the actual suppliers of such services and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, cancellations, vendor bankruptcy, war, insurrection, revolt or other civil uprising, other military actions, strikes or any Act of God occurring in either the country of origin, destination or through passage, pandemics, or for any reason whatsoever. The suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied are those who are actually responsible for providing the travel services purchased. The suppliers reserve the right to make minor adjustments to the itinerary. SHARON CARR TRAVEL will not be held responsible should any of these suppliers fail to provide the travel services purchased, whether through default or any other cause. SHARON CARR TRAVEL will not accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other causes. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the member of the tour. SHARON CARR TRAVEL will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage during the tour. Also, SHARON CARR TRAVEL will not be liable regarding the provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. Acceptance of the Tour Contract will serve as a Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement. This agreement is binding on your heirs, legal representatives and assigns. If, for some reason, a trip must be rescheduled due to any of the above reasons, participants are bound by the new dates of travel, and can only obtain a refund if insurance has been purchased and insurer is contractually bound.
