ITINERARY
Day 1 | Tuesday 29th October
Make your way to Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) at least 3 hours prior to departure time for your
nonstop overnight flight to Helsinki.
Day 2 | Wednesday 30th October
Your flight arrives into Helsinki mid-morning where you’ll be met by your tour host and taken
straight to the beautiful Hilton Strand hotel which is located right on the waterfront with amazing
sea views. After checking in we begin our trip with a 2-hour private city sightseeing tour. The tour
will give you a fabulous overview of everything there is to see in the capital city. On our return we’ll
host a short welcome reception.
Day 3 | Thursday 31st October
Today is our only free day, if you want a relaxing day then why not try one of the more than 3 million
saunas in Finland (yep, its true!!). If you want to explore a little, then take a day trip (by ferry) over
to Tallinn (in Estonia) where you’ll see one of the World’s most beautiful city’s, with its Medieval
architecture, stunning Eastern Orthodox Cathedral, cobblestone streets and lots of cafe’s and
shops. The evening is free.
Day 4 | Friday 1st November
Don’t forget to get up in time for the incredible buffet breakfast at the hotel (all included). We
depart the hotel at 11.45am for the short drive over to the Olympic Stadium for a 1-hour tour. The
largest stadium in Finland was originally built for the 1940 Olympics (which were cancelled due
to WW2) and finally hosted the 1952 games. The highlight of the tour is a trip to the top of the
tower which is 72m (236ft) tall and provides panoramic views over the city. Then we hit the road
to Tampere for the first NHL Global Series game. When we arrive we head straight to our pre game
hospitality venue where we’ve got all-inclusive food and drink as well as a meet and greet with a
former NHL star who’ll take photos with you, sign autographs and give you the inside scoop on
the game. Then we walk over to the Nokia Arena ready for face-off between the Stars and
Panthers. We head back to Helsinki after the game.
Day 5 | Saturday 2nd November
Day two of the Global Series, and mid-morning (after another incredible breakfast) we take the
bus back to Tampere, this time we arrive a little early as we have a private tour of the Finnish Ice
Hockey Hall of Fame. Then it’s on to our pregame hospitality venue where we’re hosted by
another NHL Legend with food and drinks all included. The Nokia Arena will be buzzing again as
the Stars and Panthers do battle.
Day 6 | Sunday 3rd November
After a good night’s sleep and one final breakfast we head to the airport for the nonstop flight
back to DFW.

flight to the North of Finland to the Artic Circle and the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi. Here we’ll
head straight to the 4* Apukka Resort. We’ll stay in the Aurora cabins with stunning views of the
night sky. After check in and a wonderful dinner (all included in our package), we’ll head out on
the hunt for the best place to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), here in northern Finland
they’re seen roughly 180 days a year (Helsinki by contrast only gets between 10-20 sightings each
year. Obviously, we can’t guarantee this incredible spectacle as it’s a natural phenomenon,
however the drivers can take you up to 80 miles north in order to have the best opportunity.
Day 7 | Monday 4th November
After breakfast you can choose to relax in your incredible surroundings or choose from one of the
exciting activities on offer at the resort. We’re travelling right at the end of Autumn and so won’t
know whether the snows will already have begun, however there are Husky rides either in the
snow or on wheels, a gold rush experience where you’ll pan for gold right on property as well as
another opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Once again, a sumptuous dinner is included.
Day 8 | Tuesday 5th November
It’s an early start as we have breakfast and then head right to the airport for the short flight back
to Helsinki and then straight onto Dallas.

PAYMENTS: A non-refundable deposit of $1500 per person is due with reservation. Final payment is due July 21, 2024. Payments may be made by credit card, check, cash, or zelle.
CANCELLATIONS: Package is totally non refundable. INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENED.
FULL LEGAL NAMES: must be given as stated on PASSPORT. Please send us a copy of your passport.
INSURANCE: Insurance is highly recommended. Please contact Sharon Carr Travel for a quote. SCT can book the insurance for you after your trip deposit is made. Please note “cancel anytime” insurance must be done at the same time as the deposit. It does have restrictions and only repays 80% of the trip cost. Insurance does not cover a pandemic.
